Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Silverline Nest Financial serves customers across Milwaukee with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about customer onboarding into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
