Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Clearpath Thistle Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Las Vegas area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
