Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Birch Energy Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about service connections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
