Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Cedar Loom Insurance Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
