Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Foxglove Cross Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Indianapolis, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with cleaning schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
