Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Westbrook Thistle Medical is a Honolulu company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 668 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about regulatory submissions into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory submissions. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
