Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Highbridge Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Seattle, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
