Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Northwind Kestrel Pharma Group supports drug development and manufacturing around Seattle, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about release testing into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
