Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Cedar Juniper Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Omaha, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Turn requests about supply orders into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with supply orders. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
