Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Cobalt Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Families are partners. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
