Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Nova Juniper Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Portland. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
