Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Nova Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for benefits enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about benefits enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
