Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Bluepeak Oak Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for cleaning schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 550 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
