Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Amberfield Maple Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Charlotte area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about capital projects into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
