Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Amberfield West Legal Group is a El Paso practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. We are a close group and share the work. What you will do • Turn requests about trust accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with trust accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
