Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Cedar Ember Financial serves customers across San Jose with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Turn requests about account servicing into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
