Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Granite Community Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with donor records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
