Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Amberfield Yarrow Inspection Services Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about scheduling into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
