Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Summit Maple Early Learning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Tampa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
