Rivermark Forge Transit Planning · Remote · part time

Rivermark Forge Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with ridership counts.
