Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Ember Pharma and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about quality documentation into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with quality documentation. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
