Software Engineer - web applications (Providence, RI)

Bluepeak Ember Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for donor records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
