Software Engineer - web applications (Portland, OR)

We are growing our team at Bright Union Health Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 976 people based in Portland. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with referrals. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
