Software Engineer - web applications (Portland, OR)

Clearpath North Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Portland and nearby communities. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
