Software Engineer - web applications (Pittsburgh, PA)

Silverline Quill Facilities Associates cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Pittsburgh, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about contractor visits into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
