Software Engineer - web applications (Oakland, CA)

Harborlight Ivory Health Partners runs clinics and patient services around Oakland. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about patient scheduling into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
