Software Engineer - web applications (Oakland, CA)

Greenridge Wren Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Oakland. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 838 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about caregiver training into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
