Software Engineer - web applications (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Bridge Energy Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
