Software Engineer - web applications (Madison, WI)

Bluepeak Summit Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Madison. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about meal programmes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meal programmes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
