Software Engineer - web applications (Madison, WI)

Bluepeak Willow Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
