Software Engineer - web applications (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Bright Rowan Inspection Services and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about equipment calibration into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
