Software Engineer - web applications (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Sparrow Facilities and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about work orders into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
