Software Engineer - web applications (Little Rock, AR)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Amber Early Learning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
