Software Engineer - web applications (Knoxville, TN)

Fernwood Union Legal Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for intake forms, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about intake forms into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
