Software Engineer - web applications (Houston, TX)

Silverline Orchard Care Services is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for caregiver training, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 625 people based in Houston. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
