Software Engineer - web applications (Honolulu, HI)

We are growing our team at Nova Amber Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
