Software Engineer - web applications (Honolulu, HI)

Bright Cross Facilities is a facilities company in Honolulu with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about work orders into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
