Software Engineer - web applications (Hartford, CT)

Highbridge Fox Medical is a Hartford company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 391 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about production lots into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with production lots. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
