Software Engineer - web applications (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Lumen Granite Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 559 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
