Software Engineer - web applications (Detroit, MI)

Amberfield Loom Medical is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for device records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about device records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
