Software Engineer - web applications (Des Moines, IA)

Highbridge Rowan Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for customer sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Turn requests about customer sites into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
