Software Engineer - web applications (Colorado Springs, CO)

Lumen Fox Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
