Software Engineer - web applications (Colorado Springs, CO)

Rivermark Beacon Community Partners is a nonprofit in Colorado Springs supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about food distribution into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with food distribution. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
