Software Engineer - web applications (Charlotte, NC)

Westbrook Lakeside Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Charlotte focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
