Software Engineer - web applications (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Nova Haven Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
