Software Engineer - web applications (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Silverline Loom Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
