Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Wichita, KS)

Westbrook Orchard Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Wichita focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
