Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Wichita, KS)

Westbrook North Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
