Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Tampa, FL)

Bluepeak Beacon Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Tampa, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
