Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Tampa, FL)

We are growing our team at Nova Forge Energy Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
